★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1982-ben a Bécsi kapu melletti Európa parkban állították fel Varga Imre alkotását. Utóbb kiderült, hogy a hely kiesik a Várba tartók látóköréből. Az eldugott parkban a mű lassan, de biztosan elkezdett pusztulni, a szobrot összefújkálták, kezéből ellopták a mezeivirág csokrot, a környezete elgazosodott.
Felújítását követően 2003-ban került a Püspökkertbe.Itt készült egy új talapzat (egy hosszú mészkőlap), amely úgy lett kialakítva, hogy a látogató leülhet Kodály mellé.
2016-ban a szobor visszakerült eredeti helyére az Európa-Ligetbe.
 In 1982, Imre Varga's work was erected in the Europa Park next to the Vienna Gate. It was later revealed that the place was out of sight of those waiting for the Castle. In the hidden park, the work slowly but surely began to decay, the statue was blown together, the bouquet of wildflowers was stolen from his hands, and its surroundings were gassed.
After its renovation, it was moved to the Bishop's Garden in 2003. A new pedestal (a long limestone slab) was made here, which was designed so that the visitor could sit next to Kodály.
In 2016, the statue was returned to its original location in the European Grove.
