14/03/2019 HELO MY NAME IS OREN MOSHE On March 12th, 09:46 AM, I rented a car in Avis Budapest downtown office at Arany Janos u. 26-28, 1051 Hungary. I asked to rent a car and explained what my needs are, which are: 1. Full insurance - I've been told it covers stealing, accident, cancelling deductible. Only flat tire was not included. I took a video and photos of the flaws in the car. 2. Driving to Vienna - so I've been told to buy Matriza sticker in a gas station in Budapest before i enter Vienna. I bought the matrica and photographed the sticker and the receipt. 3. Driving across Budapest - which I've been told I have Matrica sticker on the car which enabled me free pass in all the routs. I took a picture and video of the sticker. 4. To return the car at the airport, which I did and as was told to me, I put the Avis book inside the Avis box in floor 0. I received a phone call yesterday, March 13th, from your local service point office at the airport. I was told that the car license is missing. I returned it with the car license book and the car keys to the box at the airport. I refuse to pay the fine i received in total of 127 euro since I am sure I put the book and keys and all documents in the box at the airport if you have camera security cheek it maybe someone try to take the car license from the key box. The reason I took the insurance that I asked for, was to avoid situations like this. I feel that you take advantage of me and look for reasons to take money from me and you know that I'm in my country now and it's harder to deal with you. I feel it's a fraud and I ask to cancel the charge of 127 euros immediately payment for something I didn't do .i get the car with 7/8 gasoline and return the car full thank 8/8 just to be more then ok If you won't do that I will use all the means including the social media (Facebook, Instagram), travel forums etc. and I will tell about how you steal from your custome

David was very easy to deal with. I had to extend my rental period and he gave me a good price. After returning the car I forgot I had left my GPS inside and David got the key and took me to the garage right away after I returned. He was also helpful with Hungarian and Austrian traffic laws which I was unfamiliar with.

Service was fast. Staff is kind and easy understable. On the car getting day they made a surprise, they gave me much better car in the same price. Car was brand new, clean and modiffied with everything i needed. Will use their service in the future.

Have rented Volvo XC60 for 2 days. The car was 3 months old and had 10k km. Fully equipped- panorama roof, HUD, navi, pilot assist, etc.They blocked 1k € as deposit on the credit card on the day I've got the key. After returning the car the money were unblocked on the 3rd working day. Conclusion: service and car were very good. I can only recommend!

I rented for 2 days on August 19 and 20, 2021 a car in this agency for 90.34 € and 400 km. I did 122 additional km at 0.13 €. So a total of 106.20 €. However I was deducted 265.62 € on my account for a case of deductible that should have been reimbursed at the end of the rental (no damage), which has never been done until today October 17, 2021, despite 2 reminders to AVIS. Consequently the reality is that the day costs 132.56 €. It is necessary to know it. I do not recommend AVIS. The day after the publication of this notice, I was called back by email and after studying my file, I was reimbursed in 3 days. I would like to thank the AVIS Budapest team for having reacted very well to my complaint. In summary of this case I change my judgment on AVIS which I renew my confidence. It's a pity that it had to come to this extreme!

The best experience I ever had with rental company. X hidden charges. Every detail well explained during car pickup. Got a free car upgrade. Price is affordable and location is very convenient.

Avoid renting your car at this agency! Everything went well until the return of the car. When parking the car next to the agency, a small touch between the wheel hubcaps and the sidewalk made a minor scratch on it (barely even seen without having a close look). The representative was determined to charge us 100 euros for this minor damage! Using the fact that there was no insurance available for the wheels, what left us uncovered for this kind of damage. So when you are thinking renting your car there, take into consideration they might be looking for reasons to make a profit from minor damages that could occur.
