★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Először 16 évesen találkoztam ezzel a szoborral. Pápáról jöttünk át megyei szertorna versenyre a Stadionba. A verseny után baktattunk lefelé Gusto helyén levő - persze akkor kevésbé puccos - étterembe.
Akkor jött szembe ez a fiú a kecskéjével, egy szál pöcörőben. Hát műértés nem volt, csak röhögés és pajzán tréfák. Nekem akkor esett le, hogy igen, vannak olyan szobrok is, amiket nem azért állítanak, hogy ünneplőben koszorúzzák.
Azt kevesen tudják, hogy a kaposvári Bors Istvánnak az adta az ihletet, hogy első veszprémi látogatásakor a Benedek-hegy szikláin még kecskék ugráltak.
A szobrász eredeti verziójában a kecske a fiú lábai közül ugrott, de ezt a Művészeti Alap zsűrije is erősen félreérthetőnek találta, ezért az öntött szoborban már a fiú mellől ugrik a kecske.
 I first encountered this statue at the age of 16. We came from Pope for a county ceremony to the Stadium. After the race, we hopped down to the restaurant in Gusto's place, which was less fluffy at the time.
Then this boy came face to face with his goat in a thread. Well there was no understanding, just laughter and a lot of jokes. It fell to me then that yes, there are also statues that are not erected to be wreathed in a ceremony.
Few people know that István Bors from Kaposvár was inspired by the fact that during his first visit to Veszprém, goats were still jumping on the rocks of Benedek Hill.
In the sculptor’s original version, the goat jumped out of the boy’s legs, but the jury of the Art Fund also found this to be highly misunderstood, so in the molded sculpture, the goat is already jumping next to the boy.
