If you need a place to lay your head for the night, this place is good. If you’re looking for a spotless modern hotel, this is not the place for you. Out of all the hotels (and the one motel) I’ve stayed at, this was the worst. I won’t say this place is terrible. Like I said, unless you’re used to Radisson blu or clarion hotel type standards, this place isn’t so bad. The receptionist was friendly, the breakfast area was impressive compared to how the room looked, despite the small size, the lobby has a nice sitting area, the bed was comfortable (the pillows were very flat though)... and those are all the positives. The AC was not working properly; rather than cooling the room down, it made the air feel musky. The room also had a musty smell to it, even when the window was open. There’s no coffee or tea for you there, but there are teacups and a water cooker available. There was a ceiling fan on which the light was connected. Both the AC and the ventilation in the bathroom were full of dust bunnies. The remote control was dusty and the walls were dirty. To be fair, the reviews do say they scored low when it comes to cleanliness, so the fact that it wasn’t “spotless” shouldn’t have surprised me. I’d probably never stay here again, but I will say that if all you need is a comfortable bed, privacy and complementary breakfast then this place is a good option. It’s also near the sports arena if you have anything going on there.

The receptionist was so nice and accommodating to us when we stayed. He answered any question we had to his best ability and helped us get around for the week we were there. Our room was spotless and all the staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend staying here as it’s so close to the Puskás metro which will take you wherever it is you need to go in Budapest.

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was inexpensive but a good size and very comfortable. Bathrooms could do with modernising a little perhaps. The receptionist was very helpful about giving me suggestions for things to do in the local area too - she suggested a bar I ended up going to almost every night with some friends. The street is a little noisy so bring ear plugs.

I have never been in my life in such a dirty, bad smelling place. I checked in and checked out in 5 minutes.

The hotel has 4 stars and deserves a maximum of two. Everyone who wrote about rooms or magnetic cards is right :/

The sheet had stains on them, bathroom door could not close well, windows could not open well and there was no wifi half of the time. Food is ok.

It should be listed as a 2-star hotel, not a 4-star one. This way you may know what to expect (although I have had way better conditions in all the 2-star hotels that I have stayed so far). It can tick all the things needed to be considered as such. However: they do have a huge problem with the hygene, you get leftovers for breakfast (pay attention to the eggs!), they could invest in some new matresses, pillows and duvets (as the ones they have are riped, stained and yellowish). They could also dust a bit and take care of those spider webs. Moreover, it may be seen as a whim, but a 4-star hotel should have at least some soap and shower gel in the bathrooms, not to mention clean towels. No wifi. Also, it would have come in handy to know that this 4-star hotel is frequented by a specific type of clients. It was funny to meet the girls on their way out. Or to be told that they have a non-smoking policy, but to smell pot on the entire 6th floor. This is the first bad review that I’m writing, but it was quite frustrating to point at all these problems and get a nod and a “we know, but we can’t and won’t do anything” type of answer.

Overall bad experience. Rooms are dirty, old fashioned and not equipped at 4 stars standard. Bathroom is dirty as well, towels are missing and particularly in my room, it had poor lighting. The whole building has a weird smell and is not pleasant. Rooms are not soundproof, so you hear every breath of your neighbors. Breakfast is simple and doesn’t look good. We’ve skipped that and drank a coffee in the town. Too pricey for what it offers. And definitely not 4*…
