"A Váci út és Csanády utca saroképületét 1909-1910-ben a festék-nagykereskedő Krayer család építtette, ők lakták az ötödik emeletet. Tervezője Ágoston (Adler) Emil, aki korának keresett bérháztervezője volt, de emellett banképületeket és fürdőket is tervezett. A Krayer-ház különös ékessége a magyaros-erdélyi szecessziós motívumokkal díszített tornyos rész.
A korábbi évtizedekben Higiénia-üzletházként volt keresett."
 About the history of the house:
"The corner building on Váci út and Csanády utca was built by the Krayer family of paint wholesalers in 1909-1910, they lived on the fifth floor. The special ornament of the house is the towering part decorated with Hungarian-Transylvanian Art Nouveau motifs.
In previous decades, it was sought after as a Hygiene store. "

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Az épületet a Krayer család építtette 1909-1910-ben, akik az 5. emeleten laktak. A tervező a kor sokat foglalkoztatott építésze Ágoston (Adler) Emil volt, több banképület és impozáns bérpalota tervezője (pl.: Hungária fürdő, az Astoria szálló új épületrésze stb.). A Temesvárról származó Krayer (Krausz) Emil ragaszkodott az erdélyi motívumokhoz a tervezésnél, melyek a mai napig láthatóak a – kivételesen – jól karbantartott és felújított házon, a mai napig fellelhező. Sajnos a környénk már messze nem ilyen impozánsa. Bizony ráférne egy bőséges takarítás, a komolyabb felújítási munkálatokról nem is szólva.
The building was built by the Krayer family in 1909-1910, who lived on the 5th floor. The designer was Emil Ágoston (Adler), a busy architect of the time, designer of several bank buildings and an impressive tenement house (eg Hungária Bath, the new part of the Astoria Hotel, etc.). Emil Krayer (Krausz) from Timisoara insisted on the Transylvanian motifs in the design, which can still be seen in the - exceptionally - well-maintained and renovated house, which can be found to this day. Unfortunately, our neighborhood is far from being such an imposing one. Surely a generous amount of cleaning would be worth it, not to mention the more serious renovation work.
