Az eredeti, budai szobor készült 1956-ban, a forradalom évében, ez a debreceni (másodpéldány), vélhetően később került utcára. Alkotója, a debreceni születésű, Medgyessy Ferenc 1958-ban hunyt el.

The original statue in Buda was made in 1956, the year of the revolution, this one in Debrecen (duplicate), presumably later on the street. Its creator, Ferenc Medgyessy, born in Debrecen, died in 1958.
