A place with a history. Another scene of the movie "Tailor Tinker Soldier Spy" was filmed here.

It is a very very beautiful building and the renovations done so much good to this building, still a long way to go to make it better. The ticket machines are SO slow... And half of them are never working... You can also quickly get some bakery products before your trip so that's a plus. The me trains towards Szob are really beautiful and high tech, but they really really need to update the tracks instead of keep buying newer and newer trains!

Located next to the Westend shopping center, the train station with its fantastic and magnificent architecture is mostly made of intercity trains. Especially the view at night is spectacular. There are not too many train services, but it is more central in terms of transport than other train stations. Nyugati in Hungarian means 'west'. There are 3 different train stations in the city, named with direction names. The inside of the train station is a bit neglected. Buying tickets is much easier by using machines. The train service is delayed sometimes. You can also reach the station by using the M3 metro, tram lines 4 and 6, trolleybuses 72 and 73, or bus 26.

I did not like the mistreatment of this woman, I went to buy a ticket to Prague and because I made a mistake in one word she yelled at me excessively and treated me very badly, I left that place crying, I do not know if it is racism or she did not sleep well the night before , but you don't deserve that job if you're going to treat people like that who aren't to blame for your problems, it was an unfortunate situation for me

Beautiful place with a big train station, many unequivocal signs for foreigners and good grocery stores. Central place in Budapest, having numerous routes to all the sights and points of interest in the city.

I visited Nyugati train station because it was built by the Eiffel Company (the one that built the Eiffel Tower) in 1877. The station had obviously seen better days like many buildings in Budapest. It actually looks better from the outside than the inside. The place could use a good cleaning. If you are in the area it is worth stopping by to see a piece of architectural history

Budapest Nyugati railway station, generally referred to simply as Nyugati, is one of the three main railway terminals in Budapest, Hungary. The station is on the Pest side of Budapest, accessible by the 4 and 6 tramline and the M3 metro line.
