Food was fine in my opinion, we ordered the Hortobagyi Chicken Pancake and Homemade Pasta (with bacon and cottage cheese).
The Pancakes were lovely, but felt the pasta was a bit try. It's essentially stir-fried pasta which I liken to a stir-fried Singaporean noodle.
The service was alright but felt they were quite judgemental of us.
And this is a theme in Budapest but you are not allowed to bring/drink your own wine in the restaurants, so there is no corkage charges allowed.
A fine restaurant after exploring the Fishermen's Bastion, but I feel there could be better places.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our guide to the Buda Castle district suggested this place as having great Hungarian food. She was right! We started off with goulash soup which we were told is the 'real' way Hungarians prefer their goulash. Very tasty with lots of paprika served with a wonderful, crusty bread. Yum! If you want what Americans typically think of as goulash, you order the beef stew. For main courses, we had chicken paprikash and grilled perch with seasonal veggies. Wonderful. So now we can say we've had our authentic Hungarian meal!
