P	Philippe Bun on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant serves traditional hungarian food in a quaint and rustic settings. Food was delicious especially the bean soup and the paprika chicken: Two must-try dishes you should not forget to order. Booking is not mandatory if you show up a bit early/late but strongly advised. However (and to add up to some reviews) we were seated on a dirty table while few were still impeccable with reservation signs (we did actually book): the service staff was very reactive to clean and set us off for dinner. The missing star is certainly not due to the food but to the unraveled hypocrisy surrounding the moment where the bill is shown to you: you better say Cash than Credit Card. If you did dare to go for option 2, don't expect any words or looks from them ... A sad end to this delicious meal. My take: Go for the food!

The place gets pretty busy, there were a lot of people coming, but could not find a place, so recommend to reserve a seat beforehand. I found a socket to charge my laptop and mobile and could also use their wifi connection.

If you're a couple, I'd recommend the set menues as they are really economical. We got the 10,000HUF set (around 30EUR) and we're completely stuffed!
K	Kevin Chong on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My local friend told me that this was hands down the best place for authentic Hungarian food. However, even he was disappointed with the decline in quality. Bear in mind, this isn't a low rating because the food was not great. It's because it was allegedly once the best place to eat. The Hortobágyi palacsinta was something that came absolutely recommended and it turned out to be cold and dry. The pork stew was barely edible as a main that no one touched it. However, the servers were warm and quick on their feet, essential for anyone working in F&B. We did not have a bad time, but we did leave the restaurant disappointed with the food quality. Hopefully they step it up because I would personally love to come back and try other dishes!

The staff even provided me some guide on Roten noble wine purchasing. It’s a perfect place to visit if you want to try some Hungarian food in a casual way.

The waiter spoke (aside from Hungarian, obviously) English and German and immediately brought us to our table. The food was nice, a bit dry but generally delicious. I was a bit sad, that the lemonades came out of plastic bottles, with such a nice atmosphere, it would have been perfect. Still, a good place to stop by, even though the prices are likely a bit higher than elsewhere. But we paid for one (shared) entrée, 2 main meals, and 4 soft drinks about 25€, which is low for European standards.
