Pretty, but not hygienic and very crowded. We went to experience the bath houses of Budapest, and the architecture is beautiful. It's very cheap and quite big. However, the place is not maintained well. The smell of urine is somewhat annoying at certain places, and the drinking water literally smells like diarrhea. Obviously I decided not to drink it. The baths are nice and plenty, however the 15 baths are not very different in any way. The large outside baths could be very enjoyable, but sadly the large crowds makes it feel like you're in a swimming pool in Ibiza. Crowded, noisy tourists and no places to sit since every reserves the chairs with towels. On a quiet day you might enjoy Széchenyi fürdó if you don't care about the hygiene much.

Excellent service. Organization and signage are good. The staff is very nice and helpful. Would have given 5 stars because I really like the baths, but they are waaaay too crowded and can sometimes feel chaotic. Although sandals are mandatory, some people don't wear them, compromising everyone's hygiene - that's unacceptable. The swimming cap rule is enforced in the swimming pool, so should this rule. People should also shower before entering the baths. There should be quiet sections, as the acoustics in the indoor sections amplify sounds, making them noisy. It's recommended to take at least one cabin to store things and change. Bring your own towel, bathrobe, swimming cap and suit, and sandals - all set.

They have controls in the biggest metro stop only aiming for tourist that doesn't know properly the rules so they can make you pay without explanation possible. Take advantage like this is disgusting.

We spend two evenings there. And it was an amazing time. Pleasant water, wonderful saunas (by the way, more than 10 different saunas you can try for free). There are not as many people on weekdays as on weekends. And one point, bring a pair of slippers with you or buy one in the city, because it cost there almost as much as an entrée ticket.

The reason why you shouldn’t come to Hungary. The wonderful park, wonderful people and worst ticket men who only care about to charge you for stupid reasons with 8000 HUF ticket. The best way to get scammed in Hungary! Take the chance and make the worst memory here :) I brought my dog inside my bag when I was on the train and took him out when I arrive. And they charge me that I didn’t put my dog in the bag because they didn’t see it!?‍♂️ I asked them to check the surveillance camera to make it clear and they suddenly tried to threat me by pretending to call a police. Love this country??

Trick with metro / underground tickets If you are foreigner and it’s your first time in Budapest metro, you didn’t now that you need not only buy but also punch you tickets Metro workers active using it, and stay in this station all day because of many tourists to hand you a fine Be careful the law is not used to enforce it, but to make money
