★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A szobor a templom előtti kis téren van, érdekes alkotás, carrarai márványból készült. A szobrász gyorsan késíztette, mindössze néhány hét alatt lett kész. (Melocco Miklós alkotása)
felirat: 1956. október 23-án az országban elsőként a mai Debreceni Egyetem főépülete elől indult el az egyetemi ifjúság tüntető menete, hogy a város, majd az üzemi munkássággal összefogva forradalmi követelésekkel lépjen fel a kommunista diktatúra ellen.
 The statue is in a small square in front of the church, an interesting creation made of Carrara marble. The sculptor quickly delayed it, it was completed in just a few weeks. (By Miklós Melocco)
inscription: On October 23, 1956, the first demonstration of the university youth started in front of the main building of today's University of Debrecen in order to take revolutionary demands against the communist dictatorship.
