We checked out the world press photo exhibition. The building is beautiful inside and out, and the exhibitions are quality too.

Museum of shoes mostly. Good collection of Hungarian and other cultures, pretty cool. Descriptions of items need more detail, dates would help.

What a venue for a meal. Food was fantastic to match the decor. You've got to try this place before it is turned into the Hungarian supreme Court again.

Don't believe what Google Maps tells you. This museum is closed completely. In 2022 it will reopen in a brand new building in City Park near Heroes Square. By all means go to see the exterior of the building to view the large collection of busts and monuments to notable Hungarians.

The website vague says what kind of exhibitions it currently has. So please check, as it was recently reopened, it does not yet offer the full collection. The museum building is interesting, a lot of stairs everywhere. I love the recreation of little Budapest, where you can use an iPad’s VR function to check out all the historic places, that’s very cool. The ethnography exhibition was nice, still waiting for the permanent one. There’s also some kind of coworking space, really nice. Overall, I recommend this place, but maybe come in half a year until they finish everything.

The Museum of Ethnography founded as the Ethnographic Department of the Hungarian National Museum in 1872. The museum is located in the Kossuth Square, opposite the Parliament building, therefore easy to visit the same day you visit the Parliament House. The grand building in which the Museum of Ethnography is now housed (It will move to another location??) was originally built for the Ministry of Justice. As many buildings in Budapest this is a beautiful building with many details on its facade, worth spending time to discover them.
