★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All the names of the places of former Kingdom of Hungary as of 1913; some 12 thousand names in total. A good portion of them are now part of neighbour countries. The size of each tile represents the rank of the locality per its 1913 population in a mathematically random ordering. Tiles are a bit too dark therefore text is hard to read -this was my first impression hence why four stars only

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This memorial is quit new and it was built 2020 when Exactly 100 years ago, in the Trianon palace at Versailles, two medium-ranking Hungarian officials signed away two thirds of their country, and 3.3 million of their compatriots. It hurts Hungry to this day and it reflects in their politics also. Memorial itself is beautiful especially in the night time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Memorial showing major towns of Hungary before the treaty of Trianon was signed in 1920. After defeat in WW1 Hungary was forced to sign the treaty where they lost two thirds of their landmass. One of many monuments raised by Viktor Orbán glorifying its countries past. I cannot understand such nationalistic ideas. Looks pretty cool though.
