We've stopped on the pavement *above* this station in the Oktogon square. We're very careful and attentive when it comes to purchasing tickets in thief-infested public places such as this, but our attention wasn't enough to deter two punks from running straight into us, pushing us into the tickets machine and snatching our cash that was handed out to feed the machine. Luckily no bags have been stolen but please BE EXTRA CAREFUL, as this was a rather violent experience. And sadly, no police or security of any kind were available to help deter this sort of people from this square.

Almost antique metro station, but meant in a good way. Perfectly maintained it is almost like an open-air museum. Located only 2/2,5 meter underground this is the oldest line in Budapest, line M1. Feels safe and pleasant.

One of kind Metro Station. Stuffy, small and may God rest your soul if you want to change your direction as you have to cross the street. I rated it 5 stars as I have never seen this type of architecture for a metro station.

Very busy, bustling part of Budapest. Close to Városliget/City Park, Hősök Tér/Heroes Square, Museums, Zoo, Széchenyi Baths, etc etc. Very touristy with lots of Fast Food stores as well as some Hungarian restaurants and Cafés.

Metro here is fantastic, If you miss one you have to wait only about 2 minutes for another one - additionally metro only waits like 10 seconds on the station so you have to be quick to get in or out

One of the many reasons to love Budapest - as the metro was built for the 1000th anniversary of Hungary in 19th century, the spirit of that time was captured in the stations for this specific metro line and luckily it was preserved. Going down makes me feel like a lady in 1880's, wanting to pull up my petticoat not to step on it and holding my hat not to be blown away by the strong winds...
