Worse bank ever. You never get to talk to someone who is accountable. It is like deal with the state administration. No one care about you and you start up (KFT)...They are backward... a bank that serves clients like in 1970....

Really long wait time. They skip the number and it takes forever.

Had to wait for so long. You literally can’t have any other plans when coming here. That’s terrible.

Really LONG waiting time. I am abroad and trying to reach this branch for 3 days . I am on the phone every day for hour and a half. Couple of times a day I try to call but still haven’t solved the problem. When I wanted to close an account,they said no one to close our account and we need to do appointment. In our situation it wasn’t possible to stay in Budapest for 3 more days as we study and work in England. For some time I was paying for this account but haven’t used it for 6 years. It Covid situated we agreed with bank worker that we write a letter and send it , if everything right the amount of money will be transferred to other account and it will be closed. In December money was transferred. So you will think all done but NO. In 5 months I receive letter not to England address but on my previous address in Hungary . I am really lucky that they send me this letter because I received a money debt , which is growing every day?. In this case I only can say that it’s not the best bank to choose.

In a large branch with over 18 counters, I am waiting for 20 minutes so far and 3 people went before me in line just because no one here speaks english ! getting a simple bank statement at OTP is too much to ask, Frustrating and don t recommend this bank (if this is in Budapest imagine in smaller cities in Hungary...)

I have to agree with other reviews that the waiting time is crazy long for the English speaking customers. But despite the long wait, I am able to get my service done. I came here to close my account. I did not have an appointment because my flight was urgent and I didn't have enough time to wait for my appointment. So, the process was tricky and took a lot of time. Zsuzsi was very helpful, and she tried to help out as much as possible. If you want to get your account closed smoothly, get an appointment and do not use your card for at least 24 hours. That would be very helpful, and you will be able to close your account with fewer problems and time.
