Had a wonderful and Romantic lunch with my girlfriend. The cocktails were especially nice and the duck was spectacular. Dávid was a great waiter as well!

TOURIST TRAP!! I hate to write bad reviews and usually never review at all, but this place was a legitimately terrible dining experience that I don't wish upon anyone - almost entirely because of the service. When we were seated (Saturday for lunch, not very busy), a waiter didn't come to the table to bring water for nearly 15 minutes. When we did order, I noticed the the prices were substantially higher than the typical fare in Budapest, however, I was happy to pay knowing the prime location and seemingly classy atmosphere. Then, after nearly an hour goes by, during which we never saw the waiter, they delivered our food to the wrong table!! My date and I thought the two dishes a couple tables down were ours and found it strange that no one was eating it, but it took the restaurant an additional 15 minutes to figure out the mistake. Then, another 45 minutes goes by because they had to re-cook our food. I had to wave down the group of waiters that were talking by the kitchen area to get any service, hoping to order a cappuccino during the now exhausting dining experience. Finally, we received the dishes that were okay, but largely unremarkable. My chicken paprikash was rather dry. After the meal, my date also wanted a coffee, so we ordered another flat white. 20 MINUTES LATER, THERE WAS NO SIGN OF OUR WAITER! At this point, we were just ready to cut our losses and leave, so I had to walk over to the kitchen area to ask if anyone could bring us the bill. When they came, the server still didn't mention a cappuccino, so I suppose the order never made it to the kitchen. Oh, and they automatically added an 18% service charge to the already pricey bill. Needless to say, while the view and location was wonderful, the food was mediocre, the prices were exorbitant, and the service was downright horrid. I only write this review in hopes that management vastly improves the dining experience of this establishment for the next couple that wanders into Városliget.

Everything is improvable, always... But this place is more difficult to improve than almost any other palace I've tried in the last year. Great view, good atmosphere, comfort, food, and the service was great. Dalma, the waitress, was adorable.

The place is stunning and serves great food and has good costumer service. We came in here before the pool party so it was a bit late and when they reminded us that they are only open for a little bit longer, I thought we would not stay here so long. But we did as the food was amazing, and the view of the Vajdahunyad Castle was stunning. One thing which was as stunning was their food and one thing I apricate is a menu which has a wine pared with the meals. Of course, I went for the wine and duck as you can see looks really nice. Did not eat my first beef goulash soup till this place so can not say that much about it besides I loved that too. The bread they made was not for me.

Food was very good but the service was awful. Maybe the reason is that this aid a place for tourists and they wouldn’t return there (we definitely don’t want to). It was winter. We got a very small table next to the door, though there were three of us including a baby. It was uncomfortable and cold there. We had to wait for the menus for around 10 minutes. If we weren’t so hungry and tired, we would have left.

Beautiful view,great food and excellent service! Our servant was David who was very attentive and friendly, food was amazing! Also the vibe is very cozy. I totally recommend this place:)

It was a pleasant visit. The place offers good view, fine local food and nice service. We had a bottle of house Cuveé, Gulyás, some Han&Bean soup that I would fail to spell right, duck leg, and ox cheek. Everything was tasty and bell presented. Our waitress seems to be a new one, but overall the service was good. It was expensive, but considering quality and the location, was not too expensive. We left there abou $100 for a dinner for too.
