A "holodomor" szót kifejezetten az ukrán területeken végbement éhínségre használja a világ. Annak a 8 millió ukrán embernek a halálára utal, akiket 1932-33-ban éheztetéssel halálra kínoztak
The word "Holodomor" is used by the world specifically for famine in Ukrainian territories. Refers to the deaths of the 8 million Ukrainian people who were starved to death in 1932-33

Any monument in memory of the victims of the Holocaust generates silence and respect, and these two monuments are no less than the others. Although they go somewhat unnoticed, when you see them you already know that they are in honor of all those people who lost their lives in the Holocaust, and that always moves your mind to that time and makes you feel bad.

This memorial is to the victims of Holodomor (forced famine) in Ukraine in 1932-33. It is in the shape of an extinguished candle, with a barbed wire noose. Several millions of Ukrainians were starved to death by a deliberate policy of Stalin's regime. Essentially, farmers were forced to give up all their agricultural produce, leaving them nothing to survive on; this was compounded with the prohibition on moving away from the famine-stricken areas in search of food. According to different estimates, between 4 and 7 million people were killed within just over a year in Soviet-occupied part of Ukraine, as a result of this crime.
