A szobrot virágok veszik körül. Remek fotó készíthető Bazilikával a háttérben. It occupies a place in front of the Basilica in Duomo Square because it was one of the greatest bishops of the Reformation. The statue still stands in his honor. The statue is surrounded by flowers. Great photo can be taken with Basilica in the background.

Iskolaalapító tevékenysége (Jogakadémia), valamint amiatt, hogy a Püspökvár előtti teret a városnak adományozta "közpark létesítése céljából" (lásd a mai napig a Sétateret!), maga a város állíttatta neki ezt a szobrot. Ignác Szepesy was one of the most significant bishops of the Diocese of Pécs in the Reform Age. Because of his school-building activities (Academy of Law) and the donation of the space in front of the bishop to the city for the "establishment of a public park" (see the Walkway to this day), the city itself has erected this statue.

In 1828 he was appointed bishop of Pécs. At that time, his first thing was to enter his diocese; He taught the people in Hungarian, German and Croatian.
