Brilliant, as always. Staff speaks good English, very friendly, no problem to extend the rental, all good. And brand new car, we pushed it past 10k km!!

Extremley rude staff(young guy, dont know his name). Approached the counter today at Liszt Ferenc Airport in Budapest, the guy whitout saying at least hello just simply throw "what a you want" at me. When I told hime that i want to rent a car, he didnt eve ask me what type and make I want. While he was talking to me that was obvious that hi hates his job and people too. Super unfriendly staff, will never hire from them anymore. Rather pay more and dealing with a professional company

Bad experience, if you can, go to Europcar center Prielle Kornélia u. 45 with a taxi or other and rent their. They lie me eyes to eyes and steal me my money after I come back home (50€). Bad person, service is minimum. Don't respect their own terms and conditions. Unacceptable. And Europcar customer service in France is bad too, didn't help me.

TLDR: Avoid Europcar like the plague and book your car with Hertz. I have always booked with Europcar in the past but the branch in Budapest Airport is an absolute disaster. I am disgusted by their disregard for customers. We booked a car for 10.45pm and our plane landed early so we went to buy a couple of drinks from the supermarket in the terminal. We went to the Europcar booth by 10.00pm. No one was there so we waited... for over an hour. Eventually we managed to get hold of an employee of Europcar by phone who told us that our car had been hired to another customer and we would have to wait till 8am to get a car. He also explained that it is their NORMAL procedure: to give out the customer's car a fixed time after landing, regardless of the preagreed time when booking. If not for a super awesome guy from Hertz who helped us out and hired us a car for a similar price, we would have had to wait for 10hrs in the airport. Hats off to Hertz and shame on Europcar. I'll be avoiding Europcar in the future and you should too.

Check out place is far away from the airport. You have to walk on snowy, not safety, sidewalk to achieve it or to take a shuttle bus, as you rent a car by some low cost company - compared to Europcar in Munich, Brussels, Valencia, Frankfurt am Main. Europcar has two parkplaces 5 and 6 in front of the door of the Budapest airport T2 but it's not allow to use it!!!!!! Is't so difficult someone to check the car there and to move it to the parking place - on the desk at 15:20 today they were 3 people, without any customers except me. This I call "SERVICE".

Super rude staff at the counter; downgraded my booked car without any compensation, the guy did not even let me know that the airport parking lot has been moved to a new location due to some construction work....No brush is provided to clean the car from the snow. In addition they tried to do some fraud as I was told the rented car has no damages even though it was full of them (then they told me that how could they had seen them in the snow...); cheap trick to commit financial fraud; hence I have just submitted a police report for further investigation. When we returned the car, there was nobody working in the parking lot in order to check the car even though officially they were supposed to be open...

There are lot of bad reviews here but by what I can see that seems to be the standard for car rental companies all over the world. I guess people only take to the Internet when they had a bad experience. Well I haven't had a bad experience with Europcar at the Liszt Ferenc Airport so far. We have rented with them three times so far and they have always been quick to get our car ready. Vehicles have always been very clean with a low milage. They haven't charged me for any bogus scratches I didn't cause. I would have given five stars hadn't it been for the one instance when we rented a child seat that was very dirty with most of the padding removed. And all that for 13 euros a day. But it is four stars and I would certainly recommend this company.
